Frequently Asked Questions

How is IIANC involved with NCAHU?

NCAHU is working with the Independent Insurance Agents of NC (IIANC) this year to provide various administrative services for NCAHU, including event planning for the Symposium. You have likely received marketing emails about the Symposium, as well as our monthly newsletter, from an IIANC email address. Please do not unsubscribe from these emails or mark them as spam, as this is a primary form of communication from NCAHU to our membership.

How are InsurEXPO2020 and the NCAHU Symposium related?

We are excited that this year’s Symposium will be held in conjunction with IIANC’s InsurEXPO2020 event on April 16-17 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem. This event is the largest insurance industry event in the state of North Carolina and will feature a trade show with 125+ companies and vendors showcasing their newest products, services, technologies, and solutions to help agencies better serve their existing clients, attract new business from prospects, and improve overall agency operations. By attending the revamped NCAHU Symposium, you’ll have access to meet and network with more companies than ever before at this event. Additionally, we anticipate over 450 agents in attendance between the two events, making this an extraordinary opportunity for fellow agents to network as well as for exhibitors to connect with more agents than ever before under one roof.

Tell me more about the agenda for the event…

This year’s event will be packed with so much exceptional educational content on a wide variety of topics – including agency management, sales, marketing, technology, governmental affairs, leadership, and the technical life and health topics that we all love. All attendees, from both InsurEXPO and the NCAHU Symposium, will come together to learn during the various Super Sessions. Then, you’ll have the opportunity to customize your learning path by selecting the breakout sessions of your choice. I encourage you to explore the schedule and see all that is available to you by attending the event.

How much CE will I receive by attending?

The following sessions have been approved for CE credit (these are also noted on the agenda linked above):

-“We Were Promised Jetpacks” with Seth Zaremba (One Hour GEN CE Credit, 10:15am-11:45am on Thursday, 4/16)

-“2020 Legislative Preview” with Joe Stewart (One Hour GEN CE Credit, 11am-12:15pm on Friday, 4/16)

-NCAHU Bonus Sessions (Three Hours GEN CE Credit, 1pm-4pm on Friday, 4/16)

How do I make hotel reservations?

We have a group block at the Marriott with a discounted rate of $154/night. It is very important that you make your reservations ASAP as the group rate will expire on 3/18 or when the block is full, whichever occurs first. Click here to make your reservation within the group block.

My company is interested in exhibiting. How do I register and reserve a booth?

Click here to find out more about exhibiting at the event. We have a limited number of exhibitor opportunities, so I encourage you to act quickly to reserve your spot. You’ll notice that there are two prices listed – a significantly discounted rate for Champions’ Circle sponsors and a standard rate for non-sponsors. NCAHU has created an all-new annual sponsorship program, the Champions’ Circle, which takes the hassle out of allocating your marketing and sponsorship dollars by offering yearlong, high-visibility exposure to the entire NCAHU membership. By joining the program, your company will not just receive significant discounts at the NCAHU Symposium – you’ll receive benefits and exposure lasting throughout the year, making sure your brand stays in front of our membership well after Symposium has ended. Click here to learn more and join today. *Note that in order to guarantee inclusion on all Symposium signage, we must receive exhibitor registrations and Champions’ Circle program pledges by 3/16.

How do I register?

For attendee registration information and instructions, click here. Please read the instructions on this page carefully as they outline the procedures step by step. Once you click the Register Now button on this site, you will be diverted over to the NCAHU Symposium online registration page on the IIANC website. Make sure you are registering through this page – do not try to register for the InsurEXPO as they are considered separate events and you won’t receive the proper credentials on-site to designate you as an NCAHU attendee. If you have any trouble registering or have specific questions about obtaining your login credentials, please reach out to Allyson Knott – aknott@iianc.com or 919-863-6517.
